Privacy
This page is about one thing only: “Help train it”, where you can choose to send your pointer’s movements so the model on junseok.me can learn from real hands. If you never say yes, nothing about you leaves your browser.
Who I am
Junseok Lee runs junseok.me and is responsible for this data (controller and privacy officer). Contact: me@junseok.me.
Why
To retrain the prediction model on this page with real movements in real browsers, and to measure how well each published version predicts. Nothing else: no advertising, no profiling, no identifying you, no selling or sharing with anyone beyond the two services below.
What is collected
Only after you tick both boxes and say yes:
- where the pointer was and when, on this page only (on a phone: where the page was scrolled, and when your finger touched and let go);
- your window size and pixel ratio; whether it was a mouse, pen or touch;
- where the letters and links sit on the page;
- my guesses at each stop, and which version of the model made them;
- a random ID for your browser, and a new random ID for each visit;
- the record of your yes: the wording’s version, the day, and that you confirmed you are 16 or older and agreed to the transfer abroad.
Your IP address and browser details (such as the User-Agent) reach the server with every request, as on any website. I don’t store or log them. Nothing you type is collected, and nothing outside this page.
Legal basis
Your consent, given separately for collection and for the transfer abroad. Saying no, or saying nothing, costs nothing: the page works exactly the same.
How long
Each batch is kept for at most 12 months from the day it arrived. A job runs every day and deletes whole days older than that. After 12 months the page also asks you again before sending anything more.
Where it goes (transfer abroad and processing on my behalf)
| Recipient | Cloudflare, Inc. (United States), which runs this site and stores the data. Stored in the European Union (a bucket restricted to the EU jurisdiction); each request is first handled at the Cloudflare data centre nearest you. Privacy contact: privacyquestions@cloudflare.com. |
|---|---|
| GitHub, Inc. (United States), where the weekly retraining runs. Privacy contact: privacy@github.com. | |
| What | Everything listed under “What is collected”. |
| When and how | From your browser about every 15 seconds while sending, and when you leave the page, over HTTPS. Once a week, the retraining job downloads it over HTTPS. |
| Why and how long | Cloudflare stores it for me for 12 months. GitHub holds a copy for one day while a model retrains, then deletes it. |
| Refusing | Leave the transfer box unticked and nothing is sent. The page works the same. |
What stays in your browser
anticipate/give/v1: the random browser ID and the day you said yes. It is sent with each batch.anticipate/v1andanticipate/fling/v1: what the model has learned about your hand on this device, so it is accurate on your next visit. These never leave the device.
To remove them: press Stop (the ID), press Forget (the learned hand), or clear this site’s data in your browser.
Your rights
You can see, delete or stop the use of your data at any time.
- Stop, at the bottom of the page, stops sending and deletes everything this browser sent at once. It is also left out of every later training run.
- Or e-mail me@junseok.me with the ID shown at the bottom of the page while sending (8 characters), and ask to see it, delete it, or stop its use.
One limit, stated plainly: a model already trained on your movements and published on this page keeps what it learned in its weights. Deleting your data takes it out of every later model, but cannot take it out of one that already exists.
How it is protected
- HTTPS for every transfer.
- The store is private: nobody can read it without the secret key that only the retraining job holds.
- No IP address, user agent or other request header is stored; request logging is switched off.
- The data is never put in the site’s code repository.
Visitors in the EU
The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time with Stop. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Changes
If this changes, the page asks everyone again before sending anything more.
Effective 27 September 2026.
